Like our character; Indiana Jones, you may feel you have one foot anchored to the building of status quo and the other precariously reaching for possibility.
You can remove your foot from the wall of certainty and continue as you have in the past. Or you can shift your weight into the voids of possibility.
Inertia will keep you tethered to the wall of certainty where it is comfortable and safe. But for many of us, there is a force pulling us out onto the ledge to a more impactful and meaningful way of leading others.
Know that resilience doesn’t happen in a vacuum. You will need a team of people who challenge, incite your will, inspire your wisdom, and encourage your adversity.
Fear will pause you mid-step as security convinces you of the value of status quo. The inner villain will challenge your wisdom, fortitude, and the you value.
This is the moment you step into the void. And as you lean into the fear, trust you will survive the arduous journey. These are the moments that strengthen your resolve and builds your competency muscles.
“Faith is taking the first step even when you don’t see the staircase.” -Martin Luther King Jr.
