The gap between potential and performance exists because people have to work within constrictive parameters and prescribed methods. No one is willing to risk coloring outside the lines.
To produce innovation and growth the team must be willing to take risks, make mistakes, and learn from those mistakes.
If we don’t give people a chance to innovate and fail-forward, we won’t innovate.
